In this project 4, we need to write a digital publication about future and past.

In the past, that was really hard to me, I didn’t have the same Educational experience with the other students, after middle school, because the low scores I went to the outside high school.

That was hard and unforgettable three years for me, but I never give up to study, then I spend five years to learn Chinese medicine, also try to learn the design in Hangzhou normal university, I didn’t wasted the times, at same time, I still have part- time job in the designer company, because I love to design something, I think designer is an awesome job.

when the university course finished, I though I have no choice, must to have a job, but my parents support me to have a master degree in the UK.

That is really valuable opportunity for me, and I am really Cherish this chance.

First know about Scher, i just know she is a graphic designer.

Then i started to know her products, if we live near any of Citibank’s thousands of branch, eat at shake shake, or have used Microsoft Windows 8, we are the familiar with her designs.

The one of her famous designs is the LOGO of Citicorp bank, she took a napkin and swished her pen back and forth between the dots of both is, and so was borne the new Citibank logo.

I am super fan of Scher, i think she is amazing designer to creative such wonderful products.

For this topic, i want finish very well, so I watched some of movies about Juvenile delinquency. When I finished the movies, I was really down. Some kids have super IQs, but because their parents are divorced, they never feel love at this broken home.

Then at school, he was bullied by his classmates, they laughed him without father. This vicious cycle leads to the distortion of the child’s character, and eventually the chooses to kill his classmate.

Such pity story! This kid have such high IQ, he can do anything with his brilliant brain, he could have doctor degree, he could marriage with beautiful lady, but now he can only spend his whole life in jail.

If his parents have more attention to him, or spend more love to him, this will never happened. So after these movies and stories, I hardened my decision, I want do something to really help them.

At beginning, we were have two plan.

In the plan A, we want to talk about protect animals fur, because we think the animal’s problem is become more serious, most luxury started to use the alive animals fur, that was really blood and cruel.

And about the plan B, we want to talk about Juvenile delinquency, this phenomenon is more and more attention is paid by the society. To be honest, those two topic we all interested and we all have confidence to complete the topic whatever which one.

After we discussion a lot of time, also ask for our tutor, we think the plan B: Juvenile delinquency is more challenge for us, because this topic is in the society has more and more attention.Beside in our age, is easily to talk about the teenage and the young people, because, we have all experienced this age and can understand their psychological activities or emotions better.

I wanna talk about the journey of last week we went to the Canterbury. It was a exciting trip, we went to the Canterbury cathedral first, it is truly amazing church, huge and gorgeous, when I know only one topic I can choose write into my project, I was super tangle, because the cathedral have too many things I want to explore, so after consider, I was decision to write Gothic style of cathedral in project 2.

Even finished project 2, I’m still want to talk about the colourful window, this is another treasure of cathedral. Some of the glass windows are hundreds of years old, people call them rose window.

In the typical Western composition of the Gothic church, a pair of towers clip the gables of the hall and are vertically divided into three parts. The railings on the eaves of the gables and the long niches in the gate caves with statues of the Jewish and Israeli kings connect the three parts horizontally. In the center, between the railing and the niche, is a circular rose window, which symbolizes the purity of the Virgin Mary (it is also said that the rose symbolizes the Messiah, Jesus Christ; the rose in the Bible also represents the ancient blood and female worship).

Each window tells a story about Jesus, looking at these windows in book, such an experience makes me very enjoy. If have another chance I want to explore more rose window to more beautiful cathedral.

After this few weeks, I started to learn how to make a presentation, and tried to complete several speeches.

At beginning, I search some information about how to make a perfect presentation, most important is to prepare your speech, make eye contact with the audience and use body language. It’s better to have some interaction with the audience during the speech, so as to make your speech interesting.

So I have done a lot of preparation of this, but when I stood on the platform and felt the students’ eyes, I began to panic, suddenly I felt that I had completely forgotten what I was going to say. In this way, I finished my first presentation under extremely nervous conditions, and I could feel my voice shaking.

After the first presentation, I summed up my experience again. In fact, I had been fully prepared, but due to ridiculous nervousness, the presentation did not achieve the expected effect. Later, I tried the second and third speeches. I gradually relaxed a lot. During the speech, I also made some body language and actively tried to make eye contact with my classmates.

I hope that I will continue to improve in the following presentation and perform better in the speech.

This week , I’m try to writing an Academic project about Journey Limitless and Art review. This is my second time to write Academic project, last time was write my graduate project, but this is truly first time to write whole English project.

Firstly, after went to Canterbury cathedral, I decision to write about the Cathedral’s architecture style-Gothic. This is famous architecture style in the England, most of church all use the Gothic style, also gothic architecture is mysterious and fascinating for me.

I was never read the English Academic projects or books before, this is really challenge for me. At beginning, I was go to the library, want to find some reference for my project. Luckily, I was find three books, this really helpful to complete my work.

We need to search 6 reference for project 2, so that means I need to find more books and notes for Internet, that was little difficult for me ,because read whole English website also is not easy work. I can not understand what the means, and don’t know where I can find the useful information for me.

But, I’m still did it. I think with this first attempt, I will write such articles in the future more smoothly and more experienced.

If i have a chance to travel anywhere, i will plan to the three place. My major is Interior Design, so the first place i want to go is the Palace Museum, the Palace Museum is location at Beijing，the capital of China, even I’m Chinese , i was never go there before. Beijing Palace Museum to three main halls as the center, covers an area of 720,000 square meters, the construction area of about 150,000 square meters, there are more than 70 large and small palaces, more than 9,000 houses. It is one of the largest and most complete ancient wooden structures in the world. I think Beijing Palace Museum is the architecture that best embodies Chinese characteristics. I can learning more Chinese original culture from there.

The second place is Bath cathedral. Founded in the 7th, 10th and 12th centuries, and rebuilt in the 12th and 16th centuries, it is one of the largest vertical gothic buildings in the west of England and is an important part of the city of bath as a world heritage site. The one of reason I want to studying in UK, is i can more intimate understanding of gothic architecture, so I want to visit Bath cathedral.

The last place is famous Church of the Gesso, the first Baroque churches architecture. Baroque churches are magnificent and can create a rather intense atmosphere of mystery, which is also in line with the Catholic church’s desire to show off its wealth and pursue mystery. Baroque churches is a special style in the interior design, and this is impossibility happens in China. So I’m really curious about Baroque churches architecture.that is my favorite palace i want to go, I will always look forward to this trip.

Last week, i went to the V&A museum, made a plan to visited three exhibition but miss two exhibition, still felt so sad. Luckily, the biggest thing i got was the furniture exhibition, i can comparison the difference between the western and eastern countries. Also i was watched about in 1754 the William Lindell and his son john designed one of the earliest Chinoiserie interiors in Britain.

They also try to used the bamboo and Chinese landscape painting on the wall. That’s was really surprise me, i think the designer mixed Chinese element and European culture, to created furniture full of Chinese style form a European i was never imaged any Chinese things could appear here, i searched 1754 was Qing dynasty in China, the last dynasty. But one thing we know for sure, Chinese culture has a great influence on world culture.

I think the designers may spend lots of time and energy to learn the Chinese culture, maybe they traveled thousands of miles to China，asked the local people and search many history books. That was really hard work, they are role model for me. I enjoyed the process of learning the old furniture in the museum, because learned about history and foreign cultures can help me to improve my design aesthetic.

Visited V&A museum was my first time to the foreign museum and contacted the foreign culture. That was really fresh experience for me.

Firstly, when I know this information, i was super excited, because the The Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in London is the world’s largest museum of applied and decorative arts and design, as well as sculpture, housing a permanent collection of over 2.27 million objects.It was founded in 1852 and named after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. So i was prepared a plan to watched three exhibition.

I was choose the jewels exhibition, Dior exhibition and furniture exhibition. But i was only search what exhibition the museum have, didn’t search the tickets and maps. That was truly mistake. Tutors give us two hours, the best way is found the map to visit the exhibition immediately. However, i didn’t prepared for the map, so i lost in the museum and wasted a lot of time, then didn’t found the jewelry exhibition also didn’t bought the tickets form the Dior exhibition. In a word ,if i have any free time to visited the V&A museum again, i will make adequate preparation. I’m do not want to lose any thing again!
